Later that year, Juneyao Group acquired the company and resumed limited operations. Despite restarting production under new ownership, Yudo did not return the π1 to production, instead choosing to concentrate on newer electric vehicle projects.

As a result, the π1 officially ended production in 2022 after approximately five years on the market.

Legacy and Future Outlook

Although the Yudo π1 never became a high-volume global vehicle, it represents an important example of China’s first generation of startup electric crossovers.
